Hefner Fund
The Hefner Fund was established many years ago through Oxford Rotarian, Bob Hefner, as a vehicle to direct philanthropic funds toward individuals, programs, and organizations in our community where support and recognition can make a difference and do the most good. The contributions are often focused toward the youth in our community, but the Hefner Board considers and solicits request from all worthy causes. Some of the past grant recipients in the past have been the Talawanda City Schools, Oxford Parks & Recreation, Boy Scouts of America, Miami Little League, Buckeye Boys’ State and the Oxford Community Counseling Center. Also, the Hefner Board determines the annual recipient of the Talawanda City Schools Teacher of the Year Award. These grant recipients are recognized at an annual Hefner Fund Awards Luncheon in late May every year. A grant application should be completed by January 1 for organizations interested in receiving consideration for financial support.
