"Without the help of Rotary, it would be a lot harder for me to go to college, especially since I'm one of eight children, and I'll be paying out-of-state tuition," is how Talawanda High School senior Mary Schulte explains it.

With the help of a $1,000 scholarship from Oxford Rotary, Schulte and seven fellow THS seniors will be able to attend the colleges of their choice this fall.

Schulte is the daughter of John and Kathy Schulte, who farm in the area, and are sending their youngest child away next fall to Eastern Kentucky University.

Rotary awarded $1,000 scholarships to eight THS seniors last week, but it needs your "golf swings" to continue sending outstanding THS seniors to college. Rotary's 18th Annual Golf Outing will be held at Indian Ridge Golf Course on Wednesday, June 18.
